Sunday marked our 6 month date serving as full time Sr missionaries!  After Sacrament meeting, Sister Faulk and Sister Sister Puls, drove to Bradenton (near Tampa) to see one of our Elders in the hospital.  He was injured during a service project.  The local hospital transferred him to a larger one (out of our mission) to care for his needs.  The Tampa mission was contacted and their Elders visited him.   We wish Elder Thomas a full and speedy recovery. Sister Puls is an amazing example of need help, can do! Florida Orlanda and Tampa Missionaries: Tuesday we took an Elder to a GI specialist to learn about test results.  What a blessing it was to hear good news.  We celebrated with brunch at IHOP.  It was fun to feed some hungry young men again.   Breakfast with Elders Archibald and Witt at IHOP: Wednesday and Thursday we attend Zone Conference for the Southern then Northern halves of the mission.  Elders Cos...

It is a such a joy and blessing to serve as Senior missionaries for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Orlando, Florida.  We have been positively influenced by so many wonderful people and have opportunities to influence others in turn.  Prayers have been heard and answered.  As we continue to work hard, we put our trust in Heavenly Father and recognize Our Savior Jesus Christ and His Plan of Happiness.  Sunday  Evening Stephanie and Diego Meneghetti came over for soup, salad, and brownies.   We started a standing invitation for them to share dinner with us on the first  Sunday  of each month for a soup and salad.  August is our first month.  We enjoy this couple.  They love to learn and appreciate the gospel in their lives.   Thursday we took an Elder for a scan and hope to hear good new soon about it.  We admire his diligence for missionary work.  Thursday evening we had a wonderf...

We express our gratitude daily for many blessings.  We are especially grateful for His Gospel and what it means for individuals and families.  We love serving a mission in Orlando. Sunday after church, Sisters Stratton and Schomaker had lunch with us.  We had baked salmon and salad.  These Sisters love life.  They are disciples of Jesus Christ meeting and lifting others.  They always have a cheery smile, warm hugs, and encouraging words.  They are amazing young women! Sisters Shomaker and Stratton: Midweek the mission office couples celebrated the Kroeger's 44th anniversary at a local bakery specializing in pastries and Puerto Rican cuisine.  We tried Mofongo, mashed plantains and a smattering of tasty desserts.  It has rained hard almost every day this week.  One afternoon the entire office took a break and stepped outside under the entryway to watch the downpour and feel the residual mist.  Naturally the foliage i...

Happy Pioneer Day everyone!   We celebrated this Utah holiday remembering the Mormon pioneers coming into the Salt Lake Valley by working in Florida.   We are so grateful for their beliefs, courage, and sacrifices to make Utah a pretty great place.    Sunday we were treated to a scrumptious dinner by Stephanie and Diego Meneghetti.   Stephanie was baptized less than a month ago!   She made her mother’s Portuguese lasagna. Oh it was good!    Tuesday we were thrilled to learn our granddaughter, Abby, had a successful tonsil and adenoid surgery.   She is a dear girl.   We pray her recovery will be speedy.    Wednesday we invited our ward’s Sister missionaries for dinner and discovered 2 Elders around our apartment near dinner time so we invited them too.   Elder Faulk made his family’s taco recipe and Sister Faulk made a lemon dessert.   Elder Faulk gave the Sisters blessings by their reque...

Sunday afternoon, Sister Faulk gave Stephanie a favorite book by President Hinckley, Standing for Something, to celebrate her baptism a few weeks ago  Stephanie recognized President Hinckley’s name and said he was the prophet when her husband joined the church so this book will have a special meaning for both of them.  Stephanie loves to read and said she can’t wait to start it!  Regardless of religious preference, this book is a wonderful guide on how to be true to oneself and treat others.  Sister Faulk taught a Heartcode course certifying missionaries in CPR on Monday!   We also welcomed 17 new missionaries from the MTC into our mission Monday  evening and hope they will do their best.  Sister Clark prepared a delicious meal of chicken and rice. Tuesday  night we said farewell to 21 missionaries returning home knowing they have served Him well.  Sister Clark prepared a wonderful cilantro lime chicken enchilada meal. Thursday ...
