Week 26: August 5-11, 2018

It is a such a joy and blessing to serve as Senior missionaries for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Orlando, Florida.  We have been positively influenced by so many wonderful people and have opportunities to influence others in turn.  Prayers have been heard and answered.  As we continue to work hard, we put our trust in Heavenly Father and recognize Our Savior Jesus Christ and His Plan of Happiness.

Sunday Evening Stephanie and Diego Meneghetti came over for soup, salad, and brownies.   We started a standing invitation for them to share dinner with us on the first Sunday of each month for a soup and salad.  August is our first month.  We enjoy this couple.  They love to learn and appreciate the gospel in their lives.

Thursday we took an Elder for a scan and hope to hear good new soon about it.  We admire his diligence for missionary work.  Thursday evening we had a wonderful sishkebob dinner along with the other Senior missionaries at Zoe’s (Medeterrain food) then attended an endowment session together in the temple.  As couples, we truly  love one another and strive to be one within the mission.

Florida Orlanda Mission Senior Couples:

Friday Morning, Sister Faulk gave a presentation on Health and Happiness to our newest Orlando missionaries.

Florida Orlando Mission Newest Missionaries:

Friday evening we headed to our friends’, Susan and Craig,  to spend the weekend with them.  We woke up at 3 AM Saturday morning to see a rocket launch but it was cancelled and rescheduled for the next night.  However, we did see a few meteorites race across the sky.  In their boat on Lake Griffin, we did see the rocket launch (Delta 4-Heavy/Parker Solar Probe) at 3:30 AM the next night!  This rocket is going to the sun to capture data about solar activity.

Delta 4-Heavy/Parker Solar Probe:

We are grateful for gospel principles that help individuals and families draw closer to Him.  We testify of his love and kindness, and of the peace within our hearts as we try to live them daily.
