Monday we met an Elder at the orthopedic surgeon’s again for an MRI assessment.   He was cleared for activity as tolerated, but was referred to see a neurosurgeon for a condition.   A few days ago, the mission president and his companion gave him a blessing.   He has not had any pain since that time.   It is truly remarkable.   It is power in the Priesthood!   We took the Elders x 4 again to McDonald’s for more 2 nd breakfasts which were appreciated.   Friday morning we attended the temple along with Florida Orlando Missionaries preparing to return home.   It is such a powerful and humbling spiritual feeling to see and be amongst young people in the service of their Lord.   It is not easy to set aside cares of the world and personal desires to serve others day after day for 18 months (Sisters) or 2 years (Elders), yet they do it willingly and cheerfully.   They are remarkable and impressive disciples.   They are sons ...

We had the privilege of attending the baby blessing of Cedar Jane Faulk, our granddaughter.   We stayed a few days with Daniel and Camee and their family.   Immediately after the blessing as Daniel held up the baby for the congregation to see her, Cedar raised her arms in the air like a triumphal victory.   She is a very good eater and still trying to figure out nighttime sleeping patterns.   She has a wonderful immediate and extended family who love her immensely.   We enjoyed taking Riley and Miles to the splash pad and celebrating Elder Faulk’s 60th birthday at Chuck a Rama with family. 4 Generations at Cedar Jane Faulk's Blessing: Girl Time: Fun at the Splash Pad: Elder Faulk and his Mom on his 60th Birthday: Riley and Miles and Grandma enjoying lunch: The Hales from the Lake Nona, FL ward invited us to join them at their home for a BBQ and fireworks on the 4 th of July.   Everyone had a fun time...

Stephanie was baptized by her husband on Saturday! Stephanie's Baptism: Monday morning we met an Elder at the orthopedic surgeon for an evaluation. Three other Elders accompanied him (vehicle sharing). Afterward, we headed to McDonald's for their 2nd breakfast. While there, some Senior citizens struck up a conversation with    them saying they eat breakfast there every morning. The Seniors ended up with 2 Book of Mormons!    One Elder pulled one out of his backpack and Sister Faulk retrieved one from her car. We hope they read and ponder it and feel the peace it brings.   2nd Breakfast of the Day: Monday evening we surprised Elders Gould and Kroeger with an all you can eat wing dinner at Gators Dockside to express our appreciation for helping us move.    We didn't ask them to help. They saw a need and jumped into action on a blazing hot day in Orlando. Their wives were invited too and helped us keep the dinner plans a secr...

Happy Father’s Day Elder Faulk!   We celebrated Father’s Day with friends.   Sister Puls made a delicious pork chop dinner.   There was hardly any room for dessert!   We appreciate our fathers for their love of family and for their example of hard work.   We love and remember them and know they are not idle in paradise. Happy Father's Day to Elder Faulk: This week was Zone Conference time again.   President Clark read the following, “ We have one more day in His service, one more day to tell His story, one more day to set a goal, one more day to help a neighbor, one more day to listen, one more day lift a burden, one more day to exercise your faith, one more day to give a gift, one more day to devote to the Lord, one more day to help save a brother, one more day to bring light to the world, one more day to bring hope to this nation, one more day to do the Father’s will. How will you choose to spend this day, this week, this transfer? Th...

Baby Cedar is home!   She was released from the hospital off oxygen.   She was in the NICU for 8 days.   We continue to pray for her as her neurological development is yet to be determined.   We recognize and are deeply grateful for so many divine blessings in her life already. We hope to learn more of Him and feel His comfort not only in challenging times but everyday as well. Baby Cedar is home! We moved too.   An opportunity presented to move to an apartment that receives more natural light so we did.   It is wonderful to see and feel the morning sun.   We moved mostly by pulling a wagon between our old and new apartment and are very thankful to the mission office Elders who did the heavy lifting and transporting.   They saw a need and addressed it without hesitation.   They are truly kind and faithful leaders in Zion.   New apartment-ground floor 3 windows immediately left of the pillars: Sister Faul...
