Week 81: August 25-31, 2019

A hurricane is brewing and we are preparing for it.   Missionaries on the coast were brought inland to stay with other missionaries.   We have stocked up on extra water and food.   We are watching the weather forecasts closely.   The mission office is closed until further notice.  Everyone bought water: Hitching a ride to get out of the hurricane's path: We have water: Closing the mission office: Preparing our office from the elements: Missionaries were instructed to bring their bedding and enough food for 72 hours hours as they were relocated.   We are hosting 4 delightful Sister missionaries.   Sisters Bingham and Noyce are from UT, Sister Davis is from CO, and Sister Wilson is from NV.   It is awesome to see and feel their dedication and strength.   They love the Lord and it shows.   They are especially kind and caring toward each other too. Week 80: August 18-24, 2019

We love our assignment to serve the mission helping missionaries with health and financial needs.   We are grateful to have the education and inspiration to do this.   We feel the Lord’s spirit and blessing daily. Tuesday we fed the local Elders dinner.   Elder Faulk made his dad’s taco recipe.   Elders Robey and Nay loved it.   We appreciated the good work they do and their assistance with our weekly English class.    It is fun getting to know them better.   Elders Robey and Nay: We had company twice this week.   One night a missionary stayed with us and another night friends, Mark and Colleen, spent a night.   We had French toast, strawberries, whipped cream, and sausage before taking Mark and Colleen to the airport.
