Week 81: August 25-31, 2019

A hurricane is brewing and we are preparing for it.  Missionaries on the coast were brought inland to stay with other missionaries.  We have stocked up on extra water and food.  We are watching the weather forecasts closely.  The mission office is closed until further notice.

Missionaries were instructed to bring their bedding and enough food for 72 hours hours as they were relocated.  We are hosting 4 delightful Sister missionaries.  Sisters Bingham and Noyce are from UT, Sister Davis is from CO, and Sister Wilson is from NV.  It is awesome to see and feel their dedication and strength.  They love the Lord and it shows.  They are especially kind and caring toward each other too.

Staying together is a unique opportunity to sustain and support each other.  Saturday night we gathered around the kitchen table and took turns reading chapters in Covenant Keepers by Sister Wendy Nelson.  We read a chapter and briefly shared how it applies to our lives.   We gained great insights as we reflected on our thoughts and actions.

Sisters Noyce, Davis, Wilson, and Bingham:

We love our family and appreciate all their love and support while we are serving a mission away from home.  We are grateful for our many blessings.  We have strong testimonies of the restored Gospel of Jesus Christ.  We hope and pray we may our hearts and efforts may continue to reflect our reverence for our Father in Heaven.
