It was a wonderful Mother’s Day!   Daniel and his family were visiting from Utah.   It was extra special to have grandchildren around.   Riley decided to join the Lake Nona Primary and sing to all the mothers.   One sister in the ward shared her heritage from India and made traditional Indian food for us to sample.   Daniel, Camee, Riley, Miles, and Cedar were busy visiting the Disney parks.   Joseph, Annie, Gary, Matty, Abby, and Leilei arrived midweek from Virginia and then we really had an apartment full.   Captain Craig took us boating on Wednesday.   We had 15 for dinner at 4 Rivers BBQ including friends Stephanie and Diego.   We swam in the pool.   Grandma took baby Cedar in for her first dip.   On Friday we had 3 vehicles and 3 generations of family at Animal Kingdom.   Grandpa rode the scooter and loved the Avatar  ride.   We also took a slow boat   Avitar ride and saw 2 plays:   Findin...

We received and welcomed new missionaries into the Florida Orlando Mission with a dinner on Monday night at the mission home and Tuesday morning with a presentation of things these need to know to get them off to a good start.   Tuesday evening we bid farewell to seasoned missionaries who completed their missions with dinner at the mission home. One of the Sisters from the Lake Nona ward will be moving to North Dakota at the end of the month.   We celebrated her with lunch at Toasted. She has a strong testimony and immerses her family into the...

We had an eventful week.   We were thrilled to have Keeley (Wei’s wife) come and stay with us.   As a Mother’s Day gift, Wei and the children gave her a personal vacation and she chose to come to Orlando to visit the amusement parks.   It was great to see her and hear about her daily adventures.   She attended the departing missionary temple session with us early Friday morning.   What a blessing it is to   receive temple ordinances and to help others receive theirs too.   We spent her last day in Orlando, Saturday, on the beach then had a delicious Mexican dinner at Mi Tierra. At the Orlando Temple-Sisters Fiu, Duncan, Owens, Faulk, Call, Keeley, Siddoway, and Fehrenbacker: Stuffed from a scrumptious Mexican  dinner at Mi Tierra: An Elder became very ill and required hospitalization.   He was diagnosed with a serious condition but recovered quickly without complications.   The Lord’s hand was very obvious in hi...
