Week 64: April 28-May 4, 2019

We had an eventful week.  We were thrilled to have Keeley (Wei’s wife) come and stay with us.  As a Mother’s Day gift, Wei and the children gave her a personal vacation and she chose to come to Orlando to visit the amusement parks.  It was great to see her and hear about her daily adventures.  She attended the departing missionary temple session with us early Friday morning.  What a blessing it is to receive temple ordinances and to help others receive theirs too.  We spent her last day in Orlando, Saturday, on the beach then had a delicious Mexican dinner at Mi Tierra.

At the Orlando Temple-Sisters Fiu, Duncan, Owens, Faulk, Call, Keeley, Siddoway, and Fehrenbacker:

Stuffed from a scrumptious Mexican  dinner at Mi Tierra:

An Elder became very ill and required hospitalization.  He was diagnosed with a serious condition but recovered quickly without complications.  The Lord’s hand was very obvious in his circumstance.  Sister Faulk is grateful for her medical training and opportunity to provide and coordinate care for this Elder.

Elder Robey at Advent Health Kissimmee:

The LDS Family Services Secretary, Margaret, retired after 20 years of service.  A lovely luncheon party was held for her.  Sister Faulk made a giant green salad.   We all have our part to do supporting and lifting each other.  Margaret is a terrific example of love and kindness for all.

We had the Sister missionaries over for a lasagna dinner.  Sister Call will be returning home during the next transfer and Sister Fehrenbacker will do the same the transfer after that.  It is fun to see their love and enthusiasm as they share Gospel messages. They have served Him well!

We feel truly blessed to serve as a Senior missionary couple in Orlando.  The Lord knows our challenges and our strengths.  As we strive to follow Him, we can make someone else’s day a little brighter and the world a little better.
