Week 21: July 1-7, 2018

We had the privilege of attending the baby blessing of Cedar Jane Faulk, our granddaughter.  We stayed a few days with Daniel and Camee and their family.   Immediately after the blessing as Daniel held up the baby for the congregation to see her, Cedar raised her arms in the air like a triumphal victory.  She is a very good eater and still trying to figure out nighttime sleeping patterns.  She has a wonderful immediate and extended family who love her immensely.  We enjoyed taking Riley and Miles to the splash pad and celebrating Elder Faulk’s 60th birthday at Chuck a Rama with family.

The Hales from the Lake Nona, FL ward invited us to join them at their home for a BBQ and fireworks on the 4th of July.  Everyone had a fun time.  There was thunder and lightening but the rain was mostly diverted.   We are blessed to live in a great land and appreciate our many freedoms.  We thank those serving to preserve our freedom and way of life.

Happy 4th of July:

The Senior missionaries went scallop hunting on the west coast of FL.  Our mission includes a lot of the Atlantic shoreline and a small portion of the Gulf coast.  We sampled a few scallops cleaned and grilled right on the boat and brought home a small cooler of them for later.   It was quite the experience.

We love our Heavenly Father and His Son Jesus Christ.  We strive daily to develop more of Our Savior’s attributes as we serve in FL.   We love the restored gospel and know families can be together through honoring temple covenants and His Atonement.
