Week 106: February 16-22, 2020

The mission office has been busy.  Several Elders and Sisters had their mission allowance cards stolen electronically and used fraudulently.  Elder Faulk canceled their cards and requested new ones for them.   He temporarily adds extra money on their companion’s card so they have access to funds until the new card arrives.

This week there has been a lot of health concerns throughout the Florida Orlando Mission and other missions too.   We were happy to treat several missionaries to a meal after accompanying them to doctor visits. The mission is praying and waiting patiently for a nurse to replace Sister Faulk as they conclude their mission in 7 weeks.

Sister Faulk with Elders Faulk, Chatterly, Meline, and Kaufman:

Sisters Gines and Stevenson:

Thursday night Elder and Sister Faulk attended the Kissimmee Ward Relief Society birthday party.  Elder Faulk represented the Priesthood and Sister Faulk helped set the tables.  We learned about the history of the Relief Society and its General Presidents.  We enjoyed a filling meal of chicken casserole, salad, breadsticks, and cake.  We mingling and had a fun time.

Saturday morning we attended the baptism of Jackie Cruz.  She is 79.  Her daughter and granddaughter are Church members and she lives with them.   Elder Gibbons from the mission office baptized her.  The Gibbons’ daughter and Sister Cruz’s daughter taught together at Meadow Elementary in Lehi, UT years after the Faulk boys attended school there.  We can’t wait for her to enter the temple and feel the holiness therein.

Sister Jackie Cruz:

Elder Faulk spoke in Sacrament meeting about eternal happiness.  It is a blessing to have the Gospel in our lives.  The Gospel is eternal and learning is a lifelong process.  We encourage all to learn more about Our Savior Jesus Christ and His Plan of Happiness!
