Week 84: September 15-21, 2019
This week we were filled with many spiritual encounters.
The theme for Zone Conferences on Tuesday and Thursday was personal revelation. Is continuing revelation important and what can we do to receive more personal direction from the Lord? We must seek Him and live worthy to receive His Spirit. In seeking guidance, David A. Bednar said, “Many times revelation doesn’t come until we’re moving and pressing forward.” Elder Faulk operated the sound system (as usual). Sister Faulk gave a presentation on cold and flu in preparation for flu vaccines at the next Zone Conferences.

FOM Zone Conference on Thursday:
We completed our English Connect class and celebrated Wednesday night with a party of appetizers, desserts and Martinelli’s sparkling apple cider. Our learners attended enough classes to earn certificates of completion. There is much unity and love within the class. We were thrilled to teach ESL and share our love for learning and the Gospel. It was a great and tender experience for all.
Clara, Magda, Elder and Sister Faulk:
The Ashcraft twins got a puppy, Olly. Sister Kroger is the designated puppy tender. Everyone loves a puppy and Olly brings a smile to everyone he meets. He is soft and loves to snuggle. He hops around like a little lamb.
Sister Kroger and Olly:
A few new RAV4s are trickling into the mission fleet. Sister Faulk was asked by the vehicle coordinator, Elder Ekenstam, to drive one off the lot to the mission office. Her RAV4 was an electric hybrid. The missionaries don’t know how good they have it!
New cars for the mission:
Friday we drove to Vero Beach for a haircut at Mark’s and a scrumptious seafood dinner at the Crabstop. Elder Faulk had fried clams and fries, and Sister Faulk had a King crab leg, steamed shrimp., corn, and sliced red potatoes. Everything was seasoned with Old Bay. It was a delightful evening.
Saturday night we attended a Rays vs Red Sox game with Elder and Sister Bair. It was Elder Bair’s birthday! The Rays won in extra innings. Go Rays! It was exciting and fun. Of course, we had hotdogs and soda, and sang Take Me Out to the Ballgame at the 7th inning stretch.
Rays vs Red Sox:
The weather is cooling off a bit. The sun is not up as long. Florida fall is in the air. It is a beautiful time of year. We are most grateful to serve a mission and support the missionaries as they endeavor to meet, teach, and bring others unto Christ.
