Week 62: April 14-20, 2019
The birds are singing, the sun is shining, and the moon is full at night. However, that has not been the case throughout the week. We had a heavy rainstorm on Friday and a few drizzles earlier in the week. Spring is in the air. We see little lizards sunning themselves or scattering to and fro. Allergies are becoming more prevalent and anti allergy supplies are running low on the store shelves. We love serving a mission in Florida!
We taught a Family Home Evening lesson to the Sr Missionaries. Sister Faulk gave each couple a copy of the mission’s Emergency Action Plan including severe weather handouts. Elder Faulk showed a video about Christ and asked people to tell about their Easter traditions. Our friends and fellow office missionaries, the Kroegers, have their grandchildren over to hunt Easter Eggs at night with flashlights!
Lightning Brochure:
A few missionaries have recently returned home early for mental health reasons. Another missionary with a serious disease was able to have it taken care of and stay infield. The Lord works in mysterious ways. We are grateful to serve and see His hand in our lives. We seek to know His plans for us and align our path in life to follow His. We know He is ever mindful of everyone, and He truly loves us one and all.
Elder Faulk had a tooth pulled. He had a noticeable improvement in his general health instantly. It is amazing how a little thing can have such a big effect. It is also a stark reminder of how we need to take good care of ourselves daily and have gratitude for current healthcare.
Elder Faulk's Tooth:
As we approach Easter, we reflect on Our Savior Jesus Christ. He had a particular purpose and mission in life. His example will stand the test of time and eternity. Following His way will enhance individual peace and happiness.
