Week 34: September 30-October 6, 2018

There is a definite change in the weather.  The temperature is slightly cooler.  It is delightful however we still need air conditioning in the car and apartment.  The night is coming earlier.
There are lizards everywhere in FL:

Tuesday we took an Elder downtown to a specialty doctor appointment.  Afterward we treated him and his companion to super juicy burgers at a place near the mission office.
Elders Gallup and Hailstone are ready for burgers:

Thursday, a young Elder required hospitalization and surgery.  Sister Faulk  loved spending time teaching him and providing basic care.  It was interesting to compare and contrast hospitals in Utah and Florida.  In January, the Florida Hospital system will change their name to Advent Health.  Christ is emphasized in the healing process throughout their hospitals.
Elder Faulk helped Dr. Naughtin (local LDS MD) remodel office space on Friday and Saturday. He worked on drywall side by side with one of Dr. Naughtin's associates, a physical therapist.  They had great conversations and Elder Faulk gave the therapist a Book of Mormon.

Saturday evening, 5 LDS Sisters in our apartment complex gathered together to listen to the Women's Session of General Conference.   We drove to the closest Stake Center but no one was there so we came home and watched it on the computer at Sister Faulk's.  It was wonderful to hear words of faith, love, kindness, and things we can do to be His disciples and improve our homes and communities. We are so very grateful for blessings of the Gospel and the opportunity to serve Him as full time missionaries on a daily basis.
