Week 30: September 2-8, 2018
Labor Day seems to bring the summer to an end and the beginning of Fall... unless you're in Florida. It is still pretty hot and rains hard for a few minutes almost every day. The sun sets a little earlier every day.
We love being missionaries in the office. We keep very busy. Time seems to fly by quickly and another week has passed. This week a missionary was sent to the hospital for an orthopedic injury playing basketball. Elder Faulk gave away a Book of Mormon in the Walmart parking lot while waiting for Sister Faulk to finish shopping. He also gave a blessing to another Elder who has trouble with his ears ever since arriving in FL.
We attended the temple twice participating in: Faulk and Morgan family name sealings one evening with the Senior missionaries; and semiannual endowments with missionaries early the next morning. The mission office sisters celebrated Sister Kroger's birthday with lunch at Panera's and we had a scrumptious dinner with the other Senior missionaries at a locally owned casual seafood restaurant. We capped off our week with a ward party to support missionary work. A few new investigators came and no one went away hungry. We brought a large bowl of fresh fruits-grapes, strawberries and pineapple and brought home chicken, pasta and rice.
It is amazing to see the love people have for others and how important its is to bring others unto Christ. In Him individuals and families will find peace, happiness, comfort, and joy. Our Lake Nona ward generously give their time and talents to benefit others. This mission has really opened our eyes to true charity-the pure love of Christ.
