Week 88: October 13-19, 2019

We attended the temple several times this week.  There are 2 temples in Florida (Orlando and Ft Lauderdale).  How blessed we are to have one close by and to have the powers of heaven here on earth.   In the temple, we find peace on earth.  In the temple, we feel love from Our Savior, Jesus Christ, and Our Father in Heaven.  In the temple, we draw nearer to them.

Florida, Orlando temple:

Our granddaughter, Cedar, had surgery at Primary Children’s Hospital in UT so we went to the temple the night before and did initiatory work in addition to adding her name to the prayer roll.  Many of our missionaries and ward members were praying for her (along with our family).  Her surgery went well and she went home the next day!

Daniel, Camee, and Cedar:

Elder Faulk took the Lake Nona Portuguese Elders to the temple the next evening to participate in baptisms with a new member.  They performed ordinances for 50 LaVaun and Jenny Faulk family names.  There was a big crowd and they had to wait for a turn.  The temple workers at the baptismal font said they had never seen the temple as busy as that night!

Stephanie and Diego Manenghetti were sealed in the temple Friday evening.  The sealing was conducted in Portuguese.  They are expecting a baby girl in January.  It was wonderful to see the love they have for each other and their commitment to God.  Now they are an eternal family and blessing will come forth.  The Lake Nona Sister missionaries rode with us to the temple.  We attended a party hosted by the Barcellos family afterward.  It is interesting to mingle with different cultures yet share the same blessings in the Gospel.

Sister Faulk, Stephanie and Diego Manenghetti, and Elder Faulk:

We are all sons or daughters of our Father in Heaven.  He loves us and we love Him.  We are grateful for the early Pioneers and modern-day prophets who paved the way for the blessings we have today.  We are grateful for temples and strive to live worthily so we may always enter therein.
