Week 75: July 14-20, 2019

It is fun to be a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints!  We appreciate our opportunity to represent Him and serve others in Florida.  We are forever grateful for His love.

Throughout the week, we took several missionaries to medical appointments.  They were grateful for our care and the clinical care they received too.   We are blessed to live in this time of medical advancement and to have counsel from the Lord.  See D&C 89!  Elder Faulk paid bills, helped missionaries get their phones and tablets working, and made sure funding was in their accounts.  Under direction of the mission president, Sister Faulk conducted a hurricane practice drill on Wednesday and Thursday.

Sisters Nielsen and Miller:

Our local missionaries came for dinner on Tuesday.  We enjoyed a Publix frozen lasagna, salad, broccoli, rolls, and ice cream.  These Sisters work hard to share Gospel messages with others.  They are a great example for others-young and old alike.  We are thrilled to share a meal with them!

Sisters Curtis and Sanders:

Four people attend our English Connect class regularly.  They come rain or shine on Wednesday nights to learn and improve their English.  The Portuguese and Spanish Elders take turns every other week sharing a self reliance message.  The Lord will bless us if we do all we can to help ourselves.

Friday Sister Faulk photographed a wedding.  Stephanie and Anthony Lieber married in Leesburg on Susan and Craig’s boat.  The Stake President who married them advised the key to a happy marriage is to put your spouse’s welfare before your own.  A small reception was held at the SCwamp.   It was a joyful occasion and we wish the couple much love and success.  They plan to pursue collage studies in VA.  Later that night, Susan treated us to the movie remake of Lion King!

Stephanie and Anthony's Wedding:

We enjoyed a pleasant Saturday afternoon boating with Leesburg friends.  We saw a little gator off their dock and a large gator in the lake.  The water lilies are abundant and beautiful.  Birds hop to and fro and rest on them.  That night we had dinner with Mark and Colleen at a Japanese Hibachi restaurant.  The chef cooked dinner at the table.  It was great fun to watch his skill.  There was so much delicious food!  We took home the leftovers.

Hibachi Chef:

Missionary work encourages us to come unto Him.  As we seek His blessings, we hope to share His love with others so they may feel eternal joy too.
