Week 74: July 7-13, 2019
We loved hearing the testimonies of members and visitors in the Lake Nona Ward during Sacrament Meeting. How blessed we are to have, know, and live by Gospel principles. We feel so lucky to serve Him in particular on this mission.
Tuesday we took our local Sister missionaries to Leesburg for a baptism. Before being transferred, one of the Sister’s taught Cianna the Gospel discussions. Sister Wheeler spoke about baptism and Sister Curtis spoke about the Holy Ghost. It was a good thing Elder Faulk was there because the font water was very shallow and cold. Elder Faulk recognized the concern and filled the font with several more inches of hot water. Earlier in the day he installed a new rear door lock in our car. How grateful we are for his talents, a functional door, and plenty of warmer baptism water.

On Thursday the Sr. missionaries gathered for dinner at Flippers. Later that evening we took the Ashcrafts to meet Dr. Ryan Naughtin. Dr. Naughtin really cares for the missionaries. He loves his job and wears shorts to the office. Every mission should have a Dr. Naughtin to address urgent and not so urgent clinical missionary concerns.
On Friday the newest missionaries and their trainers attended a half day session of things pertaining to their mission. The Ashcrafts were presiding and their girls attended too. During a break out class, Sister Faulk taught Health and Happiness then lead the Sisters in a discussion on Women’s Health. Afterward we had pizza, salad, grapes, and cookies. Elder Faulk made the pizza run. There were 12 large pizzas! Sister Bair has a fair to make the ordinary look spectacular and documents events through photos. Her kind sense of humor puts everyone at ease.
