Week 50: January 20-26, 2019
We are so blessed to have knowledge of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and temple ordinances so families may be together forever. Following the commandments help us draw closer to Heavenly Father and His Son Jesus Christ. It brings peace of mind and soul. It is the good life. Heavenly Father has a plan for us and all things are possible through Him. It is our opportunity to align our plans for ourselves to those He has for us even though it may be hard to understand or follow at any given moment. It is our responsibility to develop a warm and loving relationship with Him. He is always there for us and does not waiver. Knowing that gives us strength to practice Gospel principals one day at a time.
This week we were able to take a few missionaries to doctor appointments in addition to working in the office. Elder Faulk had the opportunity to give an Elder a blessing. Monday night the Taylors hosted a senior missionary family home evening discussing the founding fathers of the US and principles of freedom. We can all defend principles of freedom by example, by living with integrity and caring for one another.
Friday Sister Faulk taught the new missionaries about health and happiness emphasizing nutrition, sleep, exercise, and stress management. Elder Ballard said (April 1987) we must schedule time in our daily calendars for sufficient rest, exercise, and relaxation if we are to enjoy a healthy and balanced life.
Saturday we were able to meet a friend for dinner at Jeremiah's in Mount Dora. It has been a little cooler and wet this week (and we've been eating more soup) but we still love serving as missionaries in the Florida Orlando mission!
