Week 38: October 28-November 3, 2018
Our hearts are full of love for Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ, the Florida Orlando missionaries and our family. We feel His love and see His hand in the mission. We pray we may help others come unto Christ and feel His divine love too.
Sister Faulk lead the way organizing lunch for 100 at the Wetherbee Zone Conference. We made and served soup, salad, garlic bread, pumpkin pie, and raspberry lemonade. It was a notable effort and could not have been accomplished without teamwork. Sister Faulk coordinated flu vaccines for the missionaries through local Walmart pharmacists. Elder Faulk made sure the pharmacists received a Book of Mormon.
We were sad to send a few missionaries home this week for medical reasons but happy they will be able to receive the care they need. Sister Faulk quickly coordinated medical care between Orlando and Provo. We know He hears and answers prayers!
We said goodby to the Gould’s who worked in the office with us. They are retuning to Oregon after serving a year in FL. They are faithful examples of loving the Lord and serving Him by serving others. We will miss them.
We took Elders to dinner this week and enjoyed the ward’s chili cook off and Halloween party. The spirit in Lake Nona is strong and we welcome young and old, members and new friends. Sister Faulk and Annie Faulk attended the Relief Society’s Super Saturday making cards, bath salts, and etched glass Christmas decorations.
Never ending pasta with Elders Vaki and Porter at Olive Garden:
Lake Nona Ward missionaries and Brother Stanley:
Joseph and Annie and their family came for the weekend. Saturday we went to Gatorland. It was fun to ride the train and learn about the park. The children were really thrilled to see BIG gators. It was a fun day for all.
Gatorland:
It is a blessing to have family. It is an extra blessing to have family strong in the Gospel. Families can be together forever. We are most grateful for ours!
