Week 15: May 20-26, 2018

By small and simple things are great things brought to pass (Alma 37:6).

We have helped others feel the love of the Lord this week through our small and simple acts and have felt His love through kindness shown to us. Elders Faulk and Gould gave blessings to a team of sister missionaries.  It was a hot day and they were tired. Their bikes needed repair and their car was in the shop.

Sister Faulk took a dinner of soup, salad, garlic bread, and chocolate cake to Renata and her family who are moving to a larger apartment in our complex. Her daughter liked the soup so much she had 3 helpings. They plan to attend our LDS church for the first time on Sunday.

The Gould’s and Faulks made a farewell dinner for the Hogman’s as they prepare to return home to Washington concluding their mission.   How we’ve enjoyed working in the office together.  Elder Gould said 3 new mission cars were ready to be picked up so Sister Faulk helped by driving one off the dealership lot to the mission office.

Sister Faulk and a new Malibu for the mission:

Along with mission President Clark and his wife, we spent Memorial Day weekend at Susan and Craig’s who are dear friends and gracious hosts. We need each other. Good relationships are essential.

Saturday lunch at the Fish Camp:

Jesus is an excellent example of being attentive to and addressing the needs of others.  This is His church and we can follow Him through our small and simple acts of love and kindness to uplift others.
