Week 8: April 1-7, 2018

Over Easter weekend, we enjoyed listening to the semi-annual General Conference of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  We felt edified and lifted by each speaker.  We sustain President Russel M Nelson as our new prophet.  We look forward to reading the May 2018 edition of the Ensign, to feast upon His words and to be spiritually guided for this is His church!

Easter morning, the Sister missionaries from our ward came over for brunch.  Elder Faulk made waffles!  Later in the week, Elder Faulk was set apart as a veil worker in the Orlando Temple.  This is in addition to his daily mission office duties (finance).  The Orlando temple is smaller and not as busy as temples along the Wasatch Front (Utah).  Elder Faulk will be able to help the missionaries with endowment work.

While in the temple, under the direction of President Munns, (temple president) we had the opportunity to watch a few short videos from the First Presidency about serving others who come to the temple.  Sister Faulk was very touched and felt the love of the Lord.  On Friday, she taught Health and Happiness to a group of missionaries newest to the mission.  She loves being the mission nurse and having the opportunity to educate and practice nursing to so many wonderful Elders and Sisters.

Saturday we explored Pelican Beach on the mid-Atlantic side of Florida.  Afterward, we spent a lovely evening on The Pier at Cocoa Beach.   The food was great and we watched people surfing and others having a good time.  People often comment about our nametags.  We are grateful to be called as missionaries and love sharing our mission experience.
